Another victim of the Financial Matrix…a TRUE story!

Neo red pill blue pill

I recently met with a woman who had been working in corporate America for the same company for over 25 years.  Despite her loyalty, dedication and contribution over those many years, she had no pension to look forward to.  In addition to that, the company she worked with was making it pretty clear to their more “mature” employees that they preferred having younger people interacting with the public over them- to the point she feared for her future.

We talked at length about what her goals and dreams were.  And despite the fact she was in her late fifties, she still had very exciting and realistic goals and dreams she wanted to pursue!  Many of them had to do with spending more time with family and helping others.

The more she learned about what I was doing with LIFE Leadership, the more excited she got about being finally able to actually live the life she always wanted, without fear of failure or risk of loss by owning her own business.

Then something tragic happened…

She started to think about what might happen if her current employer found out that she was starting her own business.  Despite the fact that her involvement with her own business would in no way interfere with her employment; and ironically make her a better employee, leader and business person; she decided not to follow through with her original plans of owning her own business- at least one where the chances of success were hundreds of times higher than a traditional business.

THIS is where the POWER of the “Financial Matrix” rears its ugly head!

Remember, this woman’s employer had made it quite clear that her future was not secure with them.  Despite her success and contributions over 25 years of loyal service, this company was putting greater value on “appearances” in the marketplace over experience, expertise and proven competence.  And it was just a matter of time that this productive and loyal employee would eventually become a statistic of forced “retirement,” downsizing or simply being let go. But… despite the known facts of an unsecured future, she was actually more afraid of losing her job!?! (Something else we need to realize is that sooner or later we may not be able to work.  Since she had no retirement, no financial security for her future, the inevitable would certainly happen, right?  For her would it be at 78, 83, 92?  We don’t know. But it certainly WILL happen!)

If you have ever watched the movie the Matrix, you will recall that Neo was aware that “something” was not right.  He eventually was faced with a decision: “Should he simply try to forget what he was feeling or should he face the TRUTH?”  It’s no plot buster…had he chosen the blue pill and simply went back to his mundane existence, the movie would have been pretty short and BORING!  But he chose the red pill.

Morpheus explains that Neo is a slave- a prisoner- and the jail cell is for his mind.

Morpheus stops Neo just before he chooses…  He tells Neo his is only offering truth, nothing more.

So back to this “Financial Matrix” we are talking about.  Perhaps, like in the movie, no one can be told what the Matrix is, they must see it for themselves.   But I think, if a person had an open mind, they could “see” the Financial Matrix without having to necessarily experience it.

Do you have debt?  Do you have to work more or less just to pay your bills?  Are you in a Catch 22 at work?  Are you an employee who works for an employer that holds you and your family in the palm of their hand- your entire financial future is dependent on how long that company or business remains profitable- or just as importantly- sees you as a wise “investment?”

We are so busy with the daily demands on our time that we rarely have time to slow down and just think.  The Financial Matrix is so much more than a person caught in a Catch 22 at work.  And while I am certainly no expert, I may be able to cut through all the information about it and bring you the “Readers Digest Condensed Version” of the Financial Matrix.  My intent is to give you as much information as I can so you can ESCAPE from the Financial Matrix and enjoy FREEDOM!

Remember though… all I am offering is truth, nothing more.
